A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. (Luke 7v37 NIV)

Here was a brilliant example demonstrating that Jesus was comfortable with everyone.

He is never shocked or surprised.

He was in the house of a Pharisee and a prostitute walks in.

Imagine that.

The Pharisee was the pillar of society, separated from the average person.

Because we can’t fully appreciate the position and role of a Pharisee in that culture, the sheer audacity is lost on us somewhat.

The woman was bold enough to approach Jesus, especially in the house of a Pharisee.

Don’t you ever let anyone tell you, you can’t approach Jesus.

Don’t be intimidated.

Don’t talk yourself out of doing that.

You may feel unworthy.

Good; but don’t let it stop you.

Approach Him and you will find that no matter what you have done, He will do nothing but love you.

He won’t ever reject you.

The greatest tragedy is to reject His love for you.

Don’t believe the lie that He doesn’t care about you.

This woman brought what she had, possibly all she had. Bring whatever you have and He will accept it.

What have you got that you can offer to Him?

Ask Him what He wants you to do with what you have.

Write down 5 things that you have in your capacity, that you can do.

Then ask Him what He wants you to do today, this week with what you have.

You have something of value because you are of value.
