You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”(Luke 12v40 NIV)
This is true.
You will not expect Him.
This is so that you do not waste time waiting until the last possible moment.
Make Him the main thing.
Make Him the focus of your being.
Make Him your purpose in life.
This is not about being busy with church stuff.
Your ambition is not to complete a rota.
Your aim is not to attend meetings.
Unless you put Him first.
Unless you put His kingdom first.
Life will have little meaning or purpose.
Being busy for the sake of it is pointless.
Being busy is for your benefit.
There is a difference between being busy and being ready.
They fulfil two very different purposes.
One is for His glory.
The other is to meet your own need.
