After she had said this, she went back and called her sister Mary aside. “The Teacher is here,” she said, “and is asking for you.”
(John 11v28 NIV)
Jesus never mentioned that He wanted to speak to Mary.
This time Martha was doing the right thing.
She also was thinking of her sister.
She wanted Mary to get the same revelation as she did.
Martha was pragmatic and logical.
Mary was emotional and sensitive.
Which ever type you are don’t let anyone tell you that it is wrong.
Be who you are and love people.
So either Martha was trying to shake Mary out of her self pity or the gospel writers just never recorded it.
Either way it was wonderful.
