Although I suspect that this whole event was uncomfortable for Jesus.
He knew the devastating effect this would have on Mary and Martha.
He also knew something quite significant needed to happen and was going to happen.
They needed to see this.
To see the raw power of God at work.
They were going to need this level of faith for what was to be expected of them later.
He was doing it as much for the disciple’s benefit as for Mary, Martha and Lazarus.
There were eternal issues.
The impact of this event would change the world for thousands of years to come.
You need the same encounter if you are to change your nation.
A powerful encounter that will leave you in no doubt.
He has given you enough faith to believe for something like that.
Your faith needs to grow to believe for a nation.
