After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.”
(John 11v11 NIV)

Don’t be put off.
Don’t allow confusion to overwhelm you.
When Jesus speaks to you He can be a little bit cryptic.

He is talking about a greater truth.
He means to show you something profoundly important.
You may wonder why He said what He did.

I do, often.
He is trying to show you what it looks like from His perspective.
His answers often seem to fit another question.

He will answer your questions.
But you have to ask the right question.
Even if the answer makes sense.

It requires your full attention.
He isn’t logical in the way we would like.
But we are made in His image.

He isn’t made in ours.
Quite different to our western, scientific, logical thinking.
Nobody thinks like He does.

That is His invitation to you.
Just be willing to ask Him questions.
He doesn’t mind.

This is always better than guessing.
He wants a relationship with you more than anything.
He is your Heavenly Father after all.

What dad doesn’t want to talk to his children?
He is willing to listen and talk.
Are you.

Learn to dialog with Him.
He enjoys it more than you think.
He created you to talk, so talk to Him.
