“I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”
(John 11v42 NIV)

His relationship with the Heavenly Father was always His highest priority.
It should be ours as well.
Jesus was preparing them for that relationship.

He is preparing you for that relationship.
Constantly.
Open your heart up to Him.

It is not a performance.
You are not to weigh yourself in the scales to see if you are good enough.
Comparing yourself to others won’t help.

If you compare yourself to Him you will always fall short.
No matter how hard you try.
But Jesus is your righteousness.

In these verses we have a glimpse into the relationship Jesus had with His Heavenly Father.
You too can have that relationship.
He wants you to have that.

You can talk to Him.
Listen to Him.
Interact with Him.

Notice Jesus praised Him.
Jesus thanked Him.
Yet the conversation was also conducted for your benefit.
