Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?
(Luke 7v42 NIV)
How do you measure the value of what He has done for you.
If you don’t value something then it has little importance to you.
He sees what is of most value to you.
If you have little value for His grace.
Then you have little value for Him.
The measure of the debt isn’t about how bad you’ve been.
That is simply false humility and pride.
It is recognising that you owe Him everything, a big debt.
Sin is sin.
Jesus isn’t equating the amount of sin with the amount of forgiveness or repentance.
Rather what is your perception of your sin and what value we place on His grace.
Do you believe that He has forgiven you?
What value do you place on that or is all too familiar?
Ask Him what He has forgiven you for.
Repentance is more than feeling sorry.
It more than confessing your sins.
It is having a different thought about your life.
A changed mindset.
Have a change in attitude and heart.
Turn your thinking around 180˚.
You are totally forgiven.
Do you believe that?
How much do you believe that?
