He [Judas] did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.
(John 12v6 NIV)

Here is the true motive.
It is so sad that in the face of so much love.
Judas’ heart was still not right.

Judas saw at first hand the miracles.
He heard the very words of Jesus with His own ears.
It still wasn’t enough to change his heart.

Nor did it alter his actions.
His heart was frozen solid.
It was corrupted and seemed to be beyond redemption.

Although he harboured false motives he was still prepared to speak up and offer his criticism.
How brazen is that!
His heart could not be healed by the love and kindness of the one who made him.

For when you open your heart to Him.
You allow His love to melt your heart.
Let Him heal your heart.

Give Him access.
Just let Him in.
He won’t break the door down.

He will bring healing with Him.
He can do that perfectly.
He is the only One who can.

No amount of counselling can heal your heart.
Don’t be afraid to give Him your heart.
Don’t hold back.

He will set you completely free.
