The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
(John 11v44 NIV)
This must’ve been quite a spectacular sight.
I wonder what went through Lazarus’ mind when he came back to life, I would love to ask Him.
When Jesus speaks to you, you come alive.
His words are life.
They can seem like commands.
But they are more than a list of do’s and don’ts.
They have eternal life in them.
They carry authority.
He speaks plainly.
We have a part to play.
He has given us the same authority.
We can speak and it will happen.
What do you believe will happen when you speak?
Are you praying hopeless prayers?
Are they a routine or do you expect something to happen?
If you expect it to happen your words have power and influence.
Even if it is as small as a mustard seed.
Use what you have and it will grow.
Don’t allow doubt to dominate and blow away the seed.
Plant it.
Water it.
Speak to it.
Bless it.
And watch it grow.
